Dave Steele
Dave grew up in Colorado, where his mom and dad taught him from an early age the value of wild places. His many childhood and adolescent adventures ultimately led to a career in the outdoor industry. He has worked with the Colorado Outward Bound School, Fort Lewis College and other organizations as a professional mountain, canyoneering and river guide, and as ski patroller, and in amazing places throughout Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and California. He is also a past program manager for the Colorado Outward Bound School’s international sea kayaking program in Baja California Sur, Mexico. When reality finally proved his parents predictions right, and he was actually unable to sleep on the ground 300 days a year, Dave settled down in Missoula, Montana, where he earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Montana School of Law. While he greatly enjoys his present work as a Missoula, Montana-based business attorney, he continues to stoke his passion for the outdoors by teaching his children about the value of wild places.
